What is
BlueBox for?
The BlueBox series is the family of Ubiquicom devices designed for tracking and telemetry of goods handling vehicles and motorized assets, such as, for example, forklift trucks, transpallets, tri-lateral trucks. As well as enabling the locating of the vehicles, the BlueBox devices allow the collection of numerous information by using the integrated sensors; the connection with the vehicle’s sensors also enables settings to be made onboard the vehicle. By using Interface 4.0, with which the BlueBox devices can be equipped, it is possible to manage the access control and allow predictive maintenance for a vehicle.
How does
BlueBox work?
By using the GPS, WiFi and BLE technologies and the integrated sensors, the family of BlueBox devices enables the real-time localization of goods handling vehicles and the collection of the telemetry data necessary for measuring the activity and work times, identifying collisions and faults and enabling the remote generation of reports. By using the interfaces present on board the BlueBox devices it is also possible to make settings on board the vehicle in order to improve the safety and reduce the operating costs.
How
it's used
The BlueBox devices are designed to be easily installed on board goods handling vehicles using the power supply, from 12 to 105 volts, provided by the vehicle’s battery.
The outer shell, with an IP65 protection rating, is fitted with fixing slots which facilitate its installation on a wide range of motorized assets.
The connectors, which are specific for automotive applications, allow the interconnections to be made by means of ad hoc cables.
The operator Interface 4.0 has 13 LEDs for luminous signalling, a badge reader for identifying the driver and a BLE module for enabling a vast range of advanced applications.
